First part:

For downloading Snapchat data:

Step 1: Go to this link. https://accounts.snapchat.com/accounts/login?continue=%2Faccounts%2Fwelcome.

Step 2: After you open the Snapchat account on the web browser, you have to log in with the username and password of the account you want to delete. Put the username where the yellow arrow is indicated, the password on the red arrow, and verify the captcha on the green arrow.

Step 3: On the Manage my Account page, scroll down and go to the My Data section. Click on it.

Step 4: Once the My Data page appears, scroll down to the bottom of the page. You can see a box with the heading Email Address. Put in your email address in the yellow arrows and then again on the Confirm email address.

Step 5: Press on Submit Request (orange arrow)

Step 6: You will now receive a message saying We Received Your Request. This means that Snapchat will prepare a copy of your Snapchat account data and email it to the address you put in just before this step.

Step 7: You will receive a new email. So you have to first open Gmail and check your inboxes.

Step 8: When you find the email saying Your Snapchat data is ready for download, click on the click here (green arrow) given here at the very first line.

Step 9: You will be headed back to the My Data page.

Step 10: Scroll down to the section Your Data is Ready. You can see a link to a zip file. Click on it. 

Step 11: Download the zip file by clicking on Download. This will save your Snapchat data in your phone storage.

Second part

In the second part, you have to follow the steps given below:

Step 1:  It is not possible to deactivate a Snapchat account from the account itself. So you have to go to the Snapchat account management site. First, go to your browser. Second, search for the Snapchat account management site. Or you can even use the link we have given here and order to go to the Snapchat account management site.

Step 2:  Now you can see this Snapchat login. Put in your Snapchat username and the password and log in to your Snapchat account.

Step 5: Click on CONTINUE (green arrow)
